Summary
“Sorry I got you into this” he says while panting. I look at him teary eyed. I hugged him tightly. “This is not your fault” I say, my voice cracking. “Elliot” I start to say, “maybe we should take a break from this. I am not who I used to be because of this set-up” Elliot leans against the door and slides down on the floor, sitting next to me. We are both silent. Broken plates, mugs and a broken water pitcher in front of us, a few pieces scattered just at our feet. My tears continue to fall and I wipe them roughly. Neither of us are at fault, but, both of us are hurting.
